Volvo Cars launches per-model lifecycle environmental data

9th April 2008

In addition to Volvo Cars’ pursuit of policies on recycling and re-use of materials, climate-neutral manufacturing, materials selection and parts recycling and exchange, the company now provides environmental information to customers in the form of the Volvo EPI (Environmental Product Information) for all of its models, split by engine and transmission.

The data cover elements of the car’s environmental impact during production, use and disposal, enabling inter-model comparison, though without estimating total energy consumption or emissions in each of these stages. For more information, visit the Lifecycle diagram section at www.volvocars.com/epi
